 Company tradition
The history of Huta Buczek Sp. z o.o. dates to the year of 1881, when the "Katarzyna" steel works and Huldczyński Industry were established.
Those two independent and different companies with regard to the production assortment merged in 1961 and were named originally "Huta Sosnowiec" , and then "Huta im. M.Buczka". In 2002 the company has been transformed into "Technologie Buczek S.A.", which has the section of rolls production in its structure – since 1 Jan 2005 the company has been known by the name "Huta Buczek Sp. z o.o.".
Most important dates in history of "Huta Buczek Sp. z o.o.":
1972 - installation of the dust extraction system
1981 - installation of the spectrometer for quick chemical analysis
1986 - construction the place for spheroidizing of cast iron and moulding sand
place as well
1989 - construction of heat treatment section and drying stove
1995 - transformation of "Huta im. M. Buczka" as a national company into
the joint-stock company named "Huta Buczek S.A."
1995 - introducing the induction tri-crucible, medium frequency furnace
with the capacity of 6,15,25 tones, produced by "Inductotherm Co." – U.K.
1995 - introducing of the Quality Management System, which conforms
to PN-EN ISO 9001
1998 - the first recertification of the Quality Management System Certificate
in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9002 and issue the another one by TUV-Nord
2001 - introducing the Environmental Management System - EN ISO 14001 - TUV-Nord
2001 - the second recertification of Quality Management System according to
DIN EN ISO 9002 - issue of the certificate
2005 - introducing the certificates conformed to PRS:
* Quality Management System PN EN ISO 9001
* Environmental Management System PN EN ISO 14001
2007 - installation of modern gas-fired, car-type furnaces used for heat treatment
of rolls
2008 - horizontal centrifugal casting machine put into operation
2008 - introducing induction duo-crucible medium frequency furnace with the capacity
of 2x1t,produced by "Inductotherm Co. and modern car-type drying chamber
